The Perfect Gift is Always Free

A new star in the heavens. Angelic hosts breaking the darkness of the night sky with glorious brilliance. From the moment of His birth, the Son of God brought light into the world.

Light that shatters the darkness.

Light that never fails.

Light that is freely given to bring inspiration, knowledge, peace, hope… and so much more.

But do we eagerly and deliberately receive this most wonderous offering?

Like a present unopened or unused, the gift of light lies dormant in our life if we do not accept it.

Receiving is not a passive act, but an action requiring that we actually do something. Receiving is not something that can be done to us, but rather something that we must willingly choose to do for ourselves.

In all the gift giving this Christmas season, may we all be desirous to receive the gift of Light from Him who gives the perfect gifts.

Let us receive the gift of hope in the midst of our trials and the hardships we face, having faith that He has a plan for us and that it’s a good one.

Let us receive the gift of peace in a world full of strife and contentions that there will be no room for anger and malice.

Let us receive the gift of inspiration to illuminate our minds with answers that help us correctly navigate life in this fallen world. 

Let us receive the gift of the healing balm of mercy from the One who has never stopped reaching out to make us whole.

Let us receive our King and the proffered magnificent gift of Grace.

Let us be still and know that He is God.
