The Powerful and Loving Force That Holds Us Together
Last year, the data from NASA’s space probe gave scientists the information to revise their previous numbers and declare that there are roughly 200 billion galaxies in our universe. Some scientists believe that our own Milky Way galaxy could have as many as 100 billion solar systems and 100 thousand million stars.
The probability of countless worlds.
On our own world in a relatively quiet part in the outskirts of our galaxy, the tides of the oceans are a direct result of the gravitational pull of the moon. Birds and butterflies and sharks, as well as other animal life, use the magnetic field of the earth to navigate successful migrations. The same magnetic field that shields us from damaging solar winds.
Earth and all the universe, worlds without number, are held together by the forces of gravity and inertia.
And all of it has been created and is watched over and controlled by God. The very particles of space and matter obey His command. He quite literally holds the power of the universe in His loving, and supremely capable hands.
Is it no wonder then, that He can hold us together when life gets frazzled and feels like it might be falling apart?
That is what He has done for me for the past several months.
Many times, I have wondered how I could continue to expend so much time and energy in a productive and kind way in helping my aging parents move into a new assisted living facility. When I have felt empty, the life-giving force from our Father in Heaven has given me strength and endurance and patience way beyond my own ability. He has given me ideas and inspiration and the words to communicate the things that matter most as we have navigated through this new move.
He has quite literally held me together.
The Creator of the Universe, maker of all the stars and galaxies and worlds without number, is intimately aware of and willing to help us every day.
Our trials and struggles and attempts to overcome are noticed and helped by Him. No amount of expanding galaxies hampers His view. We are ever before Him and are Always loved.
For the simple and profound reason that we are His!
